We were privileged this week to celebrate the 20-year anniversaries of not one but two popular colleagues.

Both Ray Hunter and Michael Ford began work at Harbour Shipping on the same day in January 2004. Ray Hunter is senior of the four shift supervisors in the Customs Clearance Road Freight team and mainstay of our 24/7 operation. Michael Ford is European Tunnels and Tolls Manager in our Ferry Booking team. It hardly needs saying both are experts in their respective fields.

Star Cargo chairman Mr John James presented fine-quality engraved watches to Michael and Ray during separate presentations at our Dover offices. Thanking both men for their service, Mr James continued, “I’m very proud that over the years we’ve celebrated long-service for so many people at Harbour Shipping. In fact these today bring us to nearly 40 watches we’ve presented for 20 years’ service.”

Harbour Shipping Director Mr Steve Applebee commented, “This shows the commitment we make to training and long-term career development which all helps to strengthen our resilience and to cement our leading position within the industry.”
